Interviewing actress Mariam Vardanyan


Hello today interviewed actress Mariam Vardanyan. Also writer, dancer and director.

1.How was your childhood?
My childhood was incredible. I had the privilege of acting in the Vardan Ajemian State Drama Theatre and even worked as a TV host on a national TV channel.
2.From what age did you decide to be an actress and how did you know you had the skills to go on TV?
I started my acting career at a very young age, specifically when I was 3 years old. As I grew older, I explored different forms of art and discovered my passion for acting and dancing.
3.Did your parents support you in the decision you made to be an actress?
Absolutely! My mother is a renowned actress in Armenia, and her influence played a significant role in my journey. It all started when a director was looking for a young girl to cast in his play, and thanks to my mother's connection, I got the opportunity.
4.What was your first appearance on the screens?
My first appearance was in a minor role in the movie as a village child. I remember that experience vividly, as it felt like stepping into a whole new world. It was magical, like being Alice in Wonderland.
5.What was the role you liked the most?
I cherish all the roles I've played. Each character is like my own creation, and though I've had challenging moments, I consider them part of my growth as an actress.
6.What do you think led you to fame?
I can't say I'm focused on fame, but rather, my love for what I do drives me. Passion and dedication are my guiding forces.
7.What types of characters would you like to interpret?
I'm drawn to characters that resonate with me on a deep level. It's essential for me to connect with the roles I portray.
8.What actresses and actors do you feel comfortable working with?
Rather than seeking comfort, I strive to push myself beyond my comfort zone. Working with talented actors challenges me to grow as an artist.
9.In what other genres of art would you like to participate?
(Works of theater, music, among others)
I have a diverse range of artistic interests. I enjoy dancing, playing the piano, singing as a soprano, and indulging in painting and sculpting. Theater will always be my home, but I'm open to exploring various art forms.
 10.Do you have any anecdotes that have marked you in your life and as a person?
I'm known to be a workaholic, even to the point where I'm working in my sleep. It's a testament to my dedication and passion for my craft.
11.What has been your greatest achievement?
 My greatest achievement is an ongoing journey. Every day, I strive to become a better version of myself as an actress and as a person.
12.What projects will you make next, and which ones do you have in mind?
 I have an upcoming project called "Butterfly's Will," a feature film where I am involved as a co-writer, producer, and lead actor. Additionally, I have several other projects in the works that I'm excited about.
13.Would you like to make a movie in Spain?
I would absolutely love to make a movie in Spain. The country's rich culture and my passion for flamenco dancing make it an ideal location for me.
14.Do you like Spanish cinema?
Yes, I love Spanish cinema! One of my favorite movies is "Volver." The storytelling and performances in Spanish cinema have always captivated me.
