Interviewing actress Genesis Peralta
How was your childhood?
My childhood was tough not the best, but not the worst either. I learned a lot, was spoiled until I wasn’t, laughed, cried, and had fun along the way.
From what age did you decide to be an actress, and how did you know you had the skills to go on TV?
I knew from a very young age! I would dance in front of people without a care, pretend I was working in an office, act like a backup dancer, and even create fake rivalries with my sister just for the drama.
Did your parents support you in the decision you made to be an actress?
Yes, they’ve always been supportive except for my mom. She’s a bit too overprotective of me.
What was your first appearance on the screens?
It was an amazing experience! I felt like I transformed into a completely different person, and I loved every second of it.
What was the role you liked the most?
I don’t have a favorite I love every role I’ve played!
What do you think led you to fame?
I don’t really think I’ll have the kind of fame people expect, and honestly, that’s not my goal. But if anything, standing my ground and refusing to take disrespect from people in power has definitely helped me get where I am.
What types of characters would you like to interpret?
I’d love to play a horror movie character.
What actresses and actors do you feel comfortable working with?
Once I get there, I’ll let you know!
In what other genres of art would you like to participate? (Works of theater, music, among others)
Definitely drama and theater I love them both!
Do you have any anecdotes that have marked you in your life and as a person?
The moment you get comfortable in front of the camera, everything just starts flowing naturally.
What has been your greatest achievement?
Realizing how talented I am and knowing that I deserve this.
What projects will you make next, and which ones do you have in mind?
I’m working on it… just wait and see!
Would you like to make a movie in Spain?
Absolutely YES! One of my favorite films, “El laberinto del fauno”, was filmed in Spain.
Do you like Spanish cinema?
Yes, I do!
