Interviewing actress Laura Mason
1. How was your childhood?
I had a wonderfully enriching childhood, supported by a creative, musical family of 7. Growing up surrounded by music and performance, I was naturally drawn to the stage. My family even had a band that performed at various events, where I sang and played percussion. While I love dancing and singing, acting has always been my deepest passion, as it allows me to explore complex emotions and connect with audiences in profound ways.
2. From what age did you decide to be an actress and how did you know you had the skills to go on TV?
I decided to pursue acting after college, where I studied Sociology at the University of Oregon. Balancing school and my artistic pursuits taught me discipline, and dance played a key role in shaping my understanding of movement and expression. After graduating, I fully dedicated myself to acting, and it was in the world of film where I found my true calling. Positive feedback, four Best Actress awards in independent film, and my passion for storytelling convinced me that acting was my career.
3. Did your parents support you in the decision you made to be an actress?
Yes, my parents have always been incredibly supportive. They recognized my passion for the arts at a young age and encouraged me to follow my dreams, providing the resources and guidance I needed to pursue my dreams.

While I don’t consider myself famous, I believe my determination, dedication, and willingness to embrace challenging roles have been key to my growth as an artist. Consistent hard work, passion, and a connection with my audience have allowed me to gain recognition in the industry.
7. What types of characters would you like to interpret?
I enjoy roles that are complex and multi-dimensional. I’m particularly drawn to strong, resilient women or characters who experience significant personal growth and transformation. These roles excite me because they challenge me as an actor.

10. Do you have any anecdotes that have marked you in your life and as a person?
One memorable moment was participating in a community outreach program that brought together young actors and aspiring artists. I also work as a social worker in my community, connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. These experiences have reinforced the power of art to unite and inspire.
11. What has been your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement has been balancing my acting career with a fulfilling personal life. Professionally, I consider being part of successful projects that resonate with audiences as significant milestones in my career.
12. What projects will you make next and which ones do you have in mind?
